This shows the course overview which may include an uploaded course outline. The user may add or edit an overview as well as upload or remove a course outline.
Add Course Overview
- At the “My Courses” page click on the course for which you want to add the course overview.
- Click on the “Course Overview” tab, click on “Click here to write course overview”, enter all the details then click on “Save”.
Edit Course Overview
- At the “My Courses” page click on the course for which you want to edit the course overview. The details for the highlighted course will be shown on the right of the page.
- Click on the “Course Overview” tab, click on “Edit Course Overview”, make the necessary changes then click on “Update”.
Add Course Outline
- At the “My Courses” page click on the course for which you want to add the course outline. The details for the highlighted course will be shown on the right of the page.
- Click on the “Course Overview” tab, click on “Upload course outline now” then click on “Browse”.
- A “File Upload” box will appear on the screen for you to choose the location on your computer from which the file should be taken. Select the location then double click on the file name to select it.
- The “File Upload” box will close down and you will be back at the “My Courses” page. Click on “Upload” to complete the process.
Remove Course Outline
- At the “My Courses” page click on the course for which you want to remove the course outline. The details for the highlighted course will be shown on the right of the page.
- Click on the “Course Overview” tab; under the heading “Course Outline” click on the “Remove course outline” icon (which is a red X).
Class List
- At the “My Courses” page click on the course for which you want to view the class list. The details for the highlighted course will be shown on the right of the page.
- Click on the “Course Overview” tab; under the heading “Class List” you will see a list with information on all students in the selected class.
- Click on the Adobe PDF or the MS Excel icon to export the class list to a PDF or MS Excel file.
Take Attendance for a Class
- At the “My Courses” page click on the course for which you want to take attendance. The details for the highlighted course will be shown on the right of the page.
- Click on the “Course Overview” tab then under the heading “Class List” click on “Attendance”. This brings you to the “Attendance Record …” page for the class.
- Click under the date for which you want to mark the student. Please note that you may scroll across if the date is not showing.
- Click under the appropriate heading for each student, by referring to the key which explains each heading, then click on “Save”.
- Click on “Attendance Log” to go to the previous page, click on “Earlier” or “Later” to mark the register for another day, and click on the course name to go to the “My Courses” page.
N.B. To print or export the attendance register, click on the printer or MS Excel icon at the “Attendance Record …” page.
