If a written assignment was included in a learning unit, it will automatically be copied over to the “Assignments” tab. There may be three icons under “Actions” at the “Assignments” tab: one for “View/Mark”, one for “Quick Grade” and one for “Edit”.
NB. Please note that the “Assignments” link at the “LMS Home” menu is for assignments submitted by students for ALL courses taught by the lecturer while the one under “My Courses” shows assignments given by the lecturer for the highlighted course.
Edit Assignment
- Click on a course at the “LMS Home” page then click on the “Assignments” tab at the “My Courses” page; all the assignments for that course will be shown.
- Click on the Edit icon beside the assignment you wish to edit. This brings the user to the Learning Unit that has the assignment.
- Click the edit icon next to the assignment, make the necessary changes then click on “Save”.
View/Mark Assignment
- Click on a course at the “LMS Home” page then click on the “Assignments” tab at the “My Courses” page; all the assignments for that course will be shown.
- Click on the View/Mark icon beside the assignment you wish to view or mark. This brings the user to the assignment details and summary as well as the class list with details of whether or not each student submitted the assignment.
- Click on “Mark” then click on the file name under the heading “Submitted Files(s)” and the file will be downloaded. N.B. If a student’s assignment was not submitted through the system, the lecturer will be given the option to upload the externally acquired filed if he/she clicks on “Mark”.
- Mark the downloaded file then upload the marked file, enter the “Score” and an optional comment then click on “Save”.
Quick Grade Assignment
- Click on a course at the “LMS Home” page then click on the “Assignments” tab at the “My Courses” page; all the assignments for that course will be shown.
- Click on the Quick Grade icon beside the assignment you wish to grade. This brings the user to the assignment details and summary as well as the class list with details of whether or not each student submitted the assignment.
- Enter the score for each student by following the instructions on the page.
